In an amendment to that suit, it is alleged that Gordon gave his girlfriend a "toxic cocktail, rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage." In September, Gordon was found civilly liable for Bobbi Kristina's death after failing to appear in an Atlanta, Georgia, courtroom in regard to the wrongful death lawsuit.
He was then ordered in November to pay for loss of life, punitive damages ($250,000), conversion ($1.575 million), assault and battery ($1.37 million), and pain and suffering as a result of assault ($13.8 million).
Three years later, her 22-year-old daughter died six months after she too was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home.
Gordon was present when both women were found unconscious.
So the court has been back there primarily struggling with that particular issue."The damages awarded in the civil case - which alleged Bobbi Kristina died due to a violent altercation with Nick, "after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture" - included $15 million for present value of life, $13.8 million for pain and suffering as a result of assault, $250,000 in punitive damages, $1.37 million for assault and battery and $1.575 million for money taken from an account.
